Summer_Rain_Lisa_Atkinson_2026

This large abstract painting is best described as an atmospheric field shaped by growth and diffusion, where forms emerge within a continuous spatial environment.

This work developed as an expansive spatial field informed by growth and atmospheric diffusion. Color creates the structure. Layered washes and vertical drips create a sense of accumulation over time, while edges are softened to allow forms to hover between recognition and abstraction. The composition suggests a landscape-like environment without establishing a fixed horizon, maintaining a continuous, shifting field.
